B i o g r a p h y

Growing up with playing several instruments, I have been enthusiastic toward music making. I still remember how excited and thrilled I was when I went to my first music lesson. I  played the violin, and tuba in the orchestra; performed in China, Japan, and the United States. I have been appearing in Make Music Chicago in recent years. Not only am I a keen performer, I am also passionate about teaching. I received my Bachelor's in Music Therapy from the University of Miami, and I have been teaching all types of students, using therapeutic approaches.  In 2012, I received my Master's in Piano Performance from the Music Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. My studio has expanded and attracted more students year after year.

Not only am I a keen performer,
I am also passionate about teaching.

During my studies at Roosevelt University, I was part of Deborah Sobol's studio. She was the Founder, Artistic Director, and creative force behind Rush Hour Concerts. In 2011, Deborah Sobol took her mission (encourage the audience to get up close and personal with the musicians who embrace engaging with their audience in every way) to the streets of Chicago and launched the annual Make Music Chicago, a spontaneous musical combustion, which provides a platform for musicians of all stripes to let their inner humanity sing through whatever instrument they have no matter their skill, and provides a stage where professionals and amateurs can play music together. It was my privilege to be a performer in both Make Music Chicago 2011 and 2012.
